In a certain village, an annual cow milking contest was held every year — whoever milked the most would win. This year as usual, many contestants entered. After the qualifying rounds, the organizing committee selected the top 3 finalists. The whole village buzzed with excitement to see who would take the championship!
Sau 1 ngày nghỉ ngơi, 3 thí sinh bắt đầu trổ tài vắt sữa tính thời gian. Người thứ nhất hì hục suốt 1 tiếng, vắt được 4 lít sữa — cả làng vỗ tay rầm rầm. Người thứ hai cũng không kém, vắt được 3 lít. Cả hai đều tự hào đứng thẳng người, chắc mẩm mình sẽ đoạt giải.
After a day of rest, the three contestants began the timed milking competition. The first contestant worked hard for a full hour and milked 4 liters — the crowd erupted in applause. The second contestant was no slouch either, milking 3 liters. Both stood tall and proud, certain one of them would take the prize.
Người thứ ba vào cuộc. Anh ta hì hục, mồ hôi nhễ giọt, vận hết sức bình sinh… nhưng sau 1 tiếng chỉ vắt được vỏn vẹn nửa lít sữa. Cả làng ngạc nhiên, thầm thì bàn tán. Ai cũng nghĩ anh ta sẽ về bùi. Nhưng ban tổ chức lại có quyết định không ai ngờ…
Contestant #3 stepped up. He worked and sweated, gave it everything he had… but after a full hour managed only half a liter of milk. The crowd murmured in surprise. Everyone assumed he would finish last. But the organizing committee had a decision that nobody expected…
Kết quả chính thức: người thứ ba đoạt giải nhất! Cả làng đứng hình. Ban tổ chức giải thích:
Vì ban tổ chức đã đưa nhầm con bò đực cho anh ta!
Anh ta vắt được nửa lít từ một con bò đực — điều mà về mặt kỹ thuật là gần như không thể! Ban tổ chức xấu hổ đỏ mặt, nhưng vẫn phải trao giải nhất cho anh ta vì thành tích xuất sắc nhất trong hoàn cảnh khó khăn nhất!
Official result: contestant #3 wins first prize! The whole village froze. The organizing committee explained: Because they had accidentally given him a bull! He milked half a liter from a bull — which is technically nearly impossible! The embarrassed committee had no choice but to award him first place for achieving the most impressive result under the most impossible conditions!
